Wholesome Plant Based Chocolate Crackle Recipe
As a plant-based Dietitian and a mum of two, I’m always on the lookout for ways to make nutritious vegan and plant based food fun and tasty for my kids. These wholesome plant based chocolate crackles are a treat that’s not only delicious but also packed with nutrients – a slightly more wholesome take on the classic chocolate crackles recipe.
Ingredients:
150g bag of soy protein crisps
1.5 cups of mixed nuts, seed mix, trail mix, or antioxidant mix
3/4 cup of natural peanut butter
1/4 cup of maple syrup
2 blocks of melted vegan dark chocolate (I used Lindt 90%)
A pinch of salt
Method:
Combine Ingredients: Start by pouring all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and covering them with melted chocolate.
Mix Thoroughly: Give it a good mix until every bit is coated in that luscious chocolate.
Prepare the Tray: Line a 30 x 10 cm baking tray with baking paper and spread the mixture out evenly.
Freeze: Pop it in the freezer until it’s solid.
Slice and Enjoy: Once it’s set, slice it up and enjoy your wholesome chocolate crackles!
